Mealtime Feeding Assistance

It is usual for people to require additional assistance during mealtimes as they get older. The inability and comfort of eating and drinking can have a significant influence on total nutritional intake and quality of life. We at CareBridge thrive to help elderly and sick people with eating and drinking assistance in a variety of ways to retain their dignity and encourage proper nutritional intake.

People with severe situations might require meal help for a variety of reasons, including dementia or impaired cognition, hand weakness (e.g. arthritis), poor vision, poor appetite, swallowing issues, or overall weakness and exhaustion. While it’s crucial to encourage seniors to eat independently whenever feasible, some will need help with their meals. We make sure that we give the required comfort, flexibility and warmth before anything to make the patient feel comfortable with us. The level of assistance that we provide ranges from:

  • Encouragement, prodding, and supervision
  • Preparing the breakfast, lunch & dinner (removing lids, placing cutlery, pouring drinks)
  • Preparing the meal and evening snakes
  • Providing comprehensive feeding assistance

The amount of help a person needs might fluctuate from day to day, even from meal to meal. Careful monitoring of all our patients can reveal who may require further assistance, such as those who do not finish their meal or have difficulty using their utensils etc.

We thrive to deliver the best and the most comfortable assistance for almost everything. reach out to us now!
